FOUNDER BIOGRAPHY : Richard Ofsoski (Musician, Contributer)

Richard Ofsoski is a musician and family man who with his 2 children lives in Brisbane Australia. In February 2009 his partner Cheryl Moana Marie Olsen and Mother of his children was diagnosedwith advanced stage 4 colon/liver cancer. A prognosis of 3 months at best was given much to the devastation of family and friends.

Richard and Cheryls brother Darren determined not to give up researched everything they could about the disease in hope of preventing the prognosed outcome through conventional and

alternative medicine. From that and Cheryls determined will she survived one year after diagnosis sadly losing her battle.

Being by Cheryls side every step of the way and witnessing the battle has had a profound effect on Richard.

Determined to do something to fight this disease which affects so many people Richard thought

why not channel the music he loves and use it in a positive way to try aid in finding a cure.

Why Australian Cancer Research Foundation ?

A desire to contribute toward making cancer history and supporting a reputed organisation

where every dollar goes towards cancer research and finding a cure.

After looking into all the cancer related support organisations and asking various people

(Doctors, Nurses, Carers) within the health industry what is the best option to END CANCER

all advised ACRF.

After Cheryls passing Richard has written 3 songs relating to the loss. 2 are available in the purchase

MUSIC CONTRIBUTOR : Henrik Flyman (Musician, Producer, Music director)

Henrik Flyman is a musician and composer who performs with his Swedish band Evil

Masquerade. When approached by Richard to possibly contribute an EM song to the site

unfortunately lisencing agreements stood in the way of allowing previously recorded music

to be contributed.

With a strong desire to contribute to the cause Henrik suggested a song exclusive to the site could be contributed possibly at some stage.

A suggestion of a song featuring many stars was mentioned. The brainstorming

began with the result being a true metal anthem 'Lets Unite In Rock' composed by

Henrik exclusively for Metal For Cancer.
